Welcome to Choosing Nursing. These Story Submission Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the submission of stories, articles, promotional content, photographs, videos, documents, and other materials (“Content”) to Choosing Nursing for review, consideration, and possible publication.
By submitting Content to Choosing Nursing and/or purchasing any Story Submission Package, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Choosing Nursing
Choosing Nursing is an independent nursing media platform dedicated to educating, informing, supporting, and connecting nurses, nursing students, healthcare professionals, and the broader healthcare community through digital content, news, educational resources, and community stories.
2. Submission Does Not Guarantee Publication
Payment of any submission fee does not guarantee publication.
Submission fees cover the review, evaluation, processing, and consideration of submitted Content.
Choosing Nursing reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine whether submitted Content will be published, featured, promoted, modified, delayed, or declined.
Publication decisions are made at the discretion of Choosing Nursing and may be based on factors including but not limited to:
- Editorial standards
- Audience relevance
- Accuracy of information
- Content quality
- Legal considerations
- Available publishing capacity
- Community impact
- Alignment with the Choosing Nursing mission
3. Editorial Discretion
Choosing Nursing reserves the right to:
- Edit submissions for clarity, grammar, formatting, length, style, or readability
- Modify headlines or titles
- Condense or summarize submissions
- Request additional information
- Decline publication
- Remove previously published content
- Update published content as necessary
Choosing Nursing is under no obligation to publish any submitted Content.
4. Accuracy of Information
The individual or organization submitting Content is solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and completeness of all information provided.
By submitting Content, you represent and warrant that:
- The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You are authorized to submit the Content
- The Content does not knowingly contain false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent information
Choosing Nursing does not independently verify every claim submitted and relies on information provided by submitters.
5. Ownership and Permission
By submitting Content, you affirm that:
- You own the Content; or
- You have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, and rights to submit the Content.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Photographs
- Videos
- Documents
- Logos
- Graphics
- Testimonials
- Quotes
- Written materials
You agree that Choosing Nursing may rely on your representation that you possess all necessary rights.
6. License to Use Submitted Content
By submitting Content, you grant Choosing Nursing a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Publish
- Reproduce
- Edit
- Distribute
- Display
- Share
- Promote
- Archive
the submitted Content across:
- ChoosingNursing.net
- Social media platforms
- Email newsletters
- Digital publications
- Marketing materials
- Future promotional materials
This license remains in effect unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
7. Sponsored and Promotional Content
Certain submissions may be promotional, sponsored, commercial, or business-related.
Choosing Nursing reserves the right to:
- Identify sponsored content
- Label promotional content where appropriate
- Modify promotional language
- Decline promotional submissions
Acceptance of payment does not guarantee publication of promotional content.
8. Community Fundraisers and Charitable Stories
Choosing Nursing may, at its sole discretion, offer discounted or waived submission fees for select charitable, community, or hardship-related stories.
Approval of fee waivers is not guaranteed.
Choosing Nursing reserves the right to approve or deny any fee waiver request.
9. Submission Fees and Refund Policy
All submission fees are non-refundable.
Because fees are charged for review, processing, and consideration services, no refunds will be issued once a submission has been received and reviewed.
Refunds will not be granted because:
- Content was not published
- Publication was delayed
- Publication was modified
- Publication occurred on a different platform than anticipated
- The submitter changed their mind
Any exceptions are made solely at the discretion of Choosing Nursing.
10. Prohibited Content
Choosing Nursing may reject submissions containing:
- False information
- Defamatory statements
- Harassment or bullying
- Hate speech
- Discriminatory content
- Copyright infringement
- Trademark infringement
- Illegal activities
- Fraudulent fundraising efforts
- Misleading medical claims
- Offensive or graphic material
- Spam or deceptive marketing practices
Choosing Nursing reserves the right to remove such content without notice.
11. Limitation of Liability
Choosing Nursing shall not be liable for:
- Lost business opportunities
- Lost profits
- Lost donations
- Lost fundraising revenue
- Reputational damages
- Indirect damages
- Consequential damages
arising from any submission, publication decision, modification, delay, or removal of Content.
All services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Choosing Nursing, its owners, affiliates, contractors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or legal fees arising from:
- Content you submit
- Violations of these Terms
- Intellectual property disputes
- Defamation claims
- Privacy claims
- Any legal dispute related to submitted Content
13. Right to Refuse Service
Choosing Nursing reserves the right to refuse service, decline submissions, cancel publication consideration, or terminate communications with any individual or organization at its sole discretion.
14. Changes to These Terms
Choosing Nursing reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
Updated versions will be posted on this page and become effective immediately upon publication.
